Haircut & Hair Perm in Seoul

By 1:21 PM

Our very first overseas haircut & hair perm experience in Seoul! :D

This was one of our to-do items in Korea! So happy to have ticked it off my bucket list during my trip to Seoul/ Busan with B early this year :) I was googling on where to go for haircut & hair perm in Seoul. And...the major issue we have is the language barrier haha.. The hairstylists at Juno Hair Salon speaks pretty decent English to understand your hair needs based on my research, so we went there! :D
It's the second time i've stepped into Juno Hair Salon (Edae Outlet) but my first time trying out their hair services for myself! :D During my first visit, my friends got their haircut there while i waited for them.

I really love the level of service given at this hair salon! (not a sponsored post, simply a review from a highly satisfied customer hehe ^_^)

More on our experience below~
Large clean space for your hair cut & hair perm ^_^
(decided to get a perm as my hair is always so flat.. lol!)

They even have a complimentary mini cafe within the salon! I'm impressed haha.. if only Singapore salons have the same concept.. :x

And after consultation, I started off with my haircut :)
Followed by a head massage/hair wash before we proceed for my magic volume perm :) Ok.. maybe the scalp massage/ hair wash was not as soothing as my hair stylist used too much strength haha.. But there were countless hair wash sessions throughout the hair perm process..  In between some of the hair wash sessions, my hair stylist's assistant took over.

Wow.. i fell asleep while she was washing my hair. Really love the scalp massage! I think there's a picture of her below :)
I love how Korea salons are so attentive to details like having a plastic "shield" to protect your makeup from smudging during the hair perm process :)

Look! :D Snacks and drinks placed on a really pretty setting served complimentary by the salon :)

Oh yes, this was the pricing for my hair perm + cut + treatments  when I went :) 299000 won, definitely cheaper than what I will have to pay in SG for the same set of hair services. Worth it for the service that we got!

Huge machines! I forgot what was this for :p

And yes, this is my hair stylist Gong Yu Han. He's quite friendly and really nice!  Can look for him if you are interested to try out the same hair services i've got~ Love how he even sends me a picture via FB for the hair mask that he recommends for my hair. Thumbs up for good service!!

We will most probably head back during our next trip to Seoul!<3

I feel like a princess/tai-tai lol! So many ppl working on my hair. And look at this huge hair perm machine that are akin to those you see in Korean dramas hahaha..

And poof! I'm a Poodle!! Wahahaha.. I got a shock when the curls were removed #butfirstletmetakeaselfie LOL!

Don't worry, this is not the end product yet! My hair stylist saw my shocked look and kept assuring me lol!

After another hair wash..lol!
And yes, this hair blowing process was also sooo.. good. I fell asleep and my hair stylists were laughing at me hahaha.. My head was rocking forward and backwards but they did not tug on my hair.. According to my boyfriend, they were really patient and did my hair up nicely while i slept like a pig. Oinks! Hahha!

Oh yes, B got a haircut there too! Looks abit nerdy before styling lol! But he likes the haircut after it grew slightly longer :D

Our final look! :D
Love how the curls for my hair just looks so nice and natural here.. haha maintaining it is another problem altogether. But all in all, my curls lasted around 3 to 4 months which is quite good as compared to my last hair perm, since my hair is naturally too straight! I can't wait to go back to Seoul to fix my hair again!

That's all I have for now! :) Do drop me a comment if you would like to find out more on my haircut/ hair perm experience. More Seoul adventures coming right up! I'm on a blog roll hehe!

  1. The hair is truly a woman's crowning glory. You really look beautiful on your new hairstyle, Chloe. Looking at your photos and reading your post really made me feel like I’m with you on your journey. I wish I can attain that kind of hairstyle soon. I gotta find a salon as posh as that soon. Hahaha! Thanks for sharing that! All the best to you!

    1. Hi jo! :)

My whole hair perm experience took about 3 hours including blow dry styling. So do allocate at least half a day for a less rushed process! ^^ Enjoy your trip!

I think there's only one edae juno outlet if i'm not wrong. This is the one on level two, near the shopping streets. Hope it helps!

    1. Hi there! :)

I used quite a bit of hair mask treatment after I got home as well as some curls styling products from Loreal as your hair might get more dry after doing the hair perm :) I felt that the Korea perms are more lasting. Hope it helps!^^

  11. Hi! Is your hair dyed before the perming session? I'm planning to go for a perm but I'm worried that the color on my hair will fade after the perm..
